But Storyline elevates online learning above basic presentations and screen recordings.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Storyline courses are interactive, full of content that changes with learners\u2019 actions as they move through the course. That means there\u2019s a lot to learn!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here, I\u2019ll provide a basic overview of creating interactive courses in Storyline 360. Scenes are sets of slides that share related information, like chapters or lessons.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you open the course of your choice, it will be displayed in Story View. This is called Slide View. It includes hundreds of free videos, photos and illustrations to use. Without all those fun interactive elements, Storyline (and Rise 360) are basically just PowerPoint for eLearning.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Quizzes are one major interactive feature you\u2019ll want to build into your Storyline course. These include dials, sliders, buttons and data-entry fields.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also make Slides themselves interactive, changing as the learner interacts with your content and moves forward through the course. This is accomplished through three main mechanisms: States, Layers and Triggers.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>States<\/strong>&nbsp;change the look of an object as learners interact with it. For example, text or a button could change colors when the user hovers over it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Layers<\/strong>&nbsp;allow slides to reveal new information as the user moves through them \u2014 determined by&nbsp;<strong>Triggers<\/strong>&nbsp;you set. For example, the learner checking off \u2018yes\u2019 or \u2018no\u2019 in response to a question could trigger different information to appear.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Getting familiar with Storyline<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Hopefully, you now have a broad understanding of Storyline.
