This is Adobe\u2019s largest acquisition to date, far outstripping the runner up, Marketo, purchased at under $5 billion. From a strategic point of view, it\u2019s also an excellent acquisition.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adobe has been losing market share to Figma for years now. With this move, they regain their grasp on the professional design market. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since last year, <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/adbe\/history\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Adobe&#8217;s shares have plummeted over 50%<\/a>. There&#8217;s no doubt, these losses are, in part, due to their slow adaptation to the web. On the other hand, Figma, a native web-first collaborative design platform, has been growing and adapting at a rapid clip since its launch in 2015.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Adobe\u2019s press release, they stated, \u201cThe combination of Adobe and Figma will usher in a new era of collaborative creativity.\u201d In a Venngage Slack thread, we stated, \u201cHope they don\u2019t ruin it\u2026\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s hoping!
