We just repurposed it to better fit on LinkedIn!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In case you&#8217;re wondering, these simple presentations have actually led to about 10x more impressions, shares, and engagement across the board. Thankfully, I have broken down our entire creation process, from outline to published presentation, below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So let\u2019s get into it!<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b><b>1. Select the right piece of content for your LinkedIn presentation<\/b><\/b><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Not every piece of content that you publish on your site or blog is going to make a good LinkedIn presentation.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some are too abstract or need a lot more supporting information to make sense. Others might just not be a good fit for your LinkedIn following at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, there are a few types of content that you can quickly repurpose into a presentation, as long as they are relevant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>This includes:&nbsp;<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Simple lists<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Step-by-step guides<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Expert quotes &amp; stats<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Checklists \/ to-do lists<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Infographics<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Basically, anything that can be summarized in an engaging manner will probably make a good LinkedIn presentation.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In my opinion, one of the easiest pieces of content to turn into a slide deck<\/span> and an infographic is a list-based<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> article. For example, this article on <a href=\"https:\/\/venngage.com\/blog\/presentation-skills\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">how to enhance your presentation skills<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All of the important content that you are going to use is already organized in an engaging way from the beginning.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Plus people love clicking through lists and&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/venngage.com\/blog\/visual-content-marketing-statistics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">visual content,<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> which leads to more engagements and impressions on your posts!<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another type of content that works really well for similar reasons is \u201chow-to\u201d or \u201cstep-by-step\u201d articles, like this <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/venngage.com\/blog\/how-to-make-an-infographic-in-5-steps\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">infographic design guide<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These articles will create a helpful and engaging narrative that people will want to click through or share with their followers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Most <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/venngage.com\/blog\/9-types-of-infographic-template\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">types of infographics<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> can be repurposed into presentations fairly quickly as well. For example, we turned a large quote infographic about <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/venngage.com\/blog\/women-in-tech-infographic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">International Women&#8217;s Day<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> into this slide deck just a few weeks ago:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/venngage-wordpress.s3.amazonaws.com\/uploads\/2020\/03\/LinkedIn-Presentation-Templates-26.jpg\" alt=\"LinkedIn Presentation Templates 26\" class=\"wp-image-37028\" width=\"546\" height=\"685\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additionally, you don\u2019t even have to repurpose an entire article or piece of content. You can focus on a handful of definitions, interesting stats or quotes from a larger article.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Or expand on something small that mention in your content, like in this slide deck:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/venngage-wordpress.s3.amazonaws.com\/uploads\/2020\/03\/LinkedIn-Presentation-Templates-21.jpg\" alt=\"LinkedIn Presentation Templates 21\" class=\"wp-image-37031\" width=\"549\" height=\"558\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We briefly touched on power words in an article about <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/venngage.com\/blog\/resume-design\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">resume design<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and then used this LinkedIn presentation to expand on the concept.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It turned out to be the perfect mix of engaging and easy to consume content that does well on LinkedIn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So before you even think about picking out a template, make sure you have selected the<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.wishpond.com\/post\/64961826730\/10-tips-how-to-use-linkedin-to-drive-traffic-to-your\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> right piece of content for LinkedIn<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b><b>2. Extract the golden content nuggets<\/b><\/b><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Trying to include too much content in your LinkedIn presentation will doom it before you even start.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At Venngage, we try to focus only on the small content nuggets that are found in a larger piece of content.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You probably are asking, what the heck is a golden content nugget?<br><br>I don\u2019t blame you either, it&#8217;s a concept that I made up about a year ago, and I\u2019m really hoping that it catches on.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>A golden content nugget is simply a small piece of content that is:<\/b><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Actionable<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Informative<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Helpful&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Interesting<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Content nuggets are perfect for social media because they can be quickly consumed. Not only does that speed up the creation process, it makes sure your content is always the focus of the LinkedIn presentation.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read also: <a href=\"https:\/\/venngage.com\/blog\/presentation-layout-ideas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">5 Foolproof Presentation Layout Ideas You Should Use<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>4.&nbsp;Always include a title slide<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Forgetting to create a compelling title slide for your presentation is another common mistake that I see a lot on LinkedIn.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They jump right into the content without any context, which is probably going to confuse a follower.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Can you imagine if this image was the first thing you saw in your <a href=\"https:\/\/taggbox.com\/blog\/embed-linkedin-feed-on-website\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LinkedIn feed on website<\/a>?<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/venngage-wordpress.s3.amazonaws.com\/uploads\/2020\/03\/LinkedIn-Presentation-Templates-11.jpg\" alt=\"LinkedIn Presentation Templates 11\" class=\"wp-image-37102\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You probably would keep scrolling.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But something like the example below would make you want to learn more because it actually gives you information about the next few slides.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/venngage-wordpress.s3.amazonaws.com\/uploads\/2020\/03\/LinkedIn-Presentation-Templates-22.jpg\" alt=\"LinkedIn Presentation Templates 22\" class=\"wp-image-37103\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Trust me, when you make your content actually easy to consume, people will engage with it.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also without a title slide, the image will probably just look like any other social media image that gets shared on LinkedIn. So instead of standing above the noise on LinkedIn, it will just become another part of it.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So try to use a relevant combination of a background shape or border, an interesting font and a simple icon. Add an icon or two to each slide<\/b><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you have made it this far into the article, you have probably noticed that almost every slide has an <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/venngage.com\/blog\/infographic-design-6-ways-to-use-icons\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">icon or illustration<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Not only will an icon or two make your slides more eye-catching, but it will also give the reader some quick context about the slide.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before you start adding them to your LinkedIn presentation, there are three usages rules that you should follow<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The first one is: always use a consistent icon style.
