There are a lot of factors to keep in mind. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A while back we created our infographic on&nbsp;the top 25 Music Festivals Around The World To Visit Before You Die, we knew right off the bat who we were targeting&#8211;music festival fanatics.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Overnight,&nbsp;we were able to get the infographic shared 200 times. Also knowing that the summer season is the most popular time for music festivals, we knew that the infographic we were making was very timely. F<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">urthermore, each festival was in the process of heavily marketing their upcoming events in order to boost ticket sales. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">By keeping the infographic simple, people didn\u2019t have to search through a lot of heavy text to access the information they were seeking. By combining a lot of serif and sans-serif fonts, a reader can become overwhelmed and fed-up very quickly. We settled on <b>Red, Blue and Yellow<\/b>.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><b>RED<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Red is bright and warm and evokes&nbsp;<b>strong emotions<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It is associated with&nbsp;<b>love, warmth, and comfort<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It is considered an intense, or even angry, color that creates&nbsp;<b>feelings of excitement or intensity<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><b>BLUE<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Blue calls to mind&nbsp;<b>feelings of calmness or serenity<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It is&nbsp; described as peaceful, tranquil, secure, and orderly.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It can also create feelings of&nbsp;<b>sadness or aloofness<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Research has shown that&nbsp;<b>people are more productive in blue rooms<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">YELLOW<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Yellow is often described as&nbsp;<b>cheery and warm<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It is also the&nbsp;<b>most fatiguing to the eye<\/b>&nbsp;due to the high amount of light that is reflected.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Using yellow as a background on paper or computer monitors can lead to eyestrain or vision loss in extreme cases.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It can create&nbsp;<b>feelings of frustration and anger<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">While it is considered a cheerful color, people are more likely to lose their tempers in yellow rooms and babies tend to cry more in yellow rooms<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It&#8217;s also important to keep in mind the flow of your infographic. When you\u2019re putting it together an, you can\u2019t just throw the information at the page helter-skelter. There has to be a consistent flow in narrative. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Essentially, you are <a href=\"https:\/\/venngage.com\/blog\/icon-story\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">telling a visual story<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Make sure your title encapsulates the overall message that you are trying to visually relay. With our infographic, we made it clear that we were listing 25 Music Festivals that were worth visiting in a lifetime. Here are the steps that we took in order to increase the shares we got.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">How to&nbsp;promote your infographic on social media<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">With our infographic on the 25 Music Festivals, we knew it would be easy to share because each music festival had Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts that we could&nbsp;post to. That meant that for 25 different festivals, with three social networking sites each, we had up to 75 sources we could list our infographic on.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We started out by tracking down each individual music festival on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and tagging one to three at a time in a post. We included a direct link to the infographic that they could click on.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" size-full wp-image-1575 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/venngage.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Screen-Shot-2015-05-26-at-5.33.00-PM.png\" alt=\"Screen Shot 2015-05-26 at 5.33.00 PM\" width=\"612\" height=\"221\" srcset=\"https:\/\/venngage-wordpress.s3.amazonaws.com\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Screen-Shot-2015-05-26-at-5.33.00-PM.png 612w, https:\/\/venngage-wordpress.s3.amazonaws.com\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Screen-Shot-2015-05-26-at-5.33.00-PM-300x108.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 612px) 100vw, 612px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Notice how the Tweet is straight to the point, but it also puts <strong>Coachella<\/strong>&nbsp;in the spotlight. You want to reaffirm that you are singling that brand out, and that you realize they are special enough to be featured in your infographic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">When posting to Facebook, there are often a number of brands that will disable posting to their pages, but the ones that we were able to post to were very responsive, and we found that our content was getting liked by others who had visited the music festival pages. With our infographic, overnight we had over 100 likes on Facebook.
